It is easy to forget that drinks are a huge aspect of our diet. What you choose to drink does not only affect your weight, but also the appearance of your skin.  Many of us know to avoid soda, alcohol, and sugary juices. While water is one of the healthiest alternatives it doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice your sweet tooth craving.

Fortunately, I came across the Clear Skin Smoothie created by Ashley Koff, R.D


To make this skin friendly smoothie, blend together….

  • 1 scoop of hemp protein
  • 1/2 cup organic blueberries
  • 1/2 bunch dandelion greens (no stems)
  • 11 oz coconut water
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder


-Hemp protein powder and dandelion greens are good for your liver. Detoxifying your liver helps to cleanse mucous, congestion, fermentation and inflammation in your digestive tract resulting in cleaner blood as well as clearer skin.

-Avocado and raw cacao powder help clear your complexion.

– Coconut water is loaded with potassium, which helps skin cells get the water they need to stay hydrated.
