After months of hibernating and feasting at various holiday parties, it seems that between January 1st and May 31st, its nearly impossible to hide from weight-loss tips, tricks, and the reality that swimsuit season is upon us. We quickly get our butts in gear to show off the bikini that’s been hiding in back of the closet. Don’t let all that hard work go to waste while you munch and celebrate everyone’s favorite summertime holiday – July 4th.

We’ve found a few delicious American-themed goodies with a healthy twist that will keep you happy and feeling guilt-free.

These adorable Flag Cupcakes from Good Housekeeping are a fun way to feed kids a little bit of fruit with their dessert. Use your favorite cupcake recipe and apply raspberries, blueberries and coconut as decoration!

This Red, White and Blueberry Trifle is a great alternative to super heavy and sugary treats like brownies or cakes. With strawberries, angel food cake, and blueberries, this summery dessert is sure to be an instant hit with kids and adults alike.

All the yummy sides at BBQs make it easy to let your eyes get bigger than your plate – leading to an increased indulgence of calories. These Turkey Burger Sliders not only provide instant portion control, but are festively patriotic with red bell peppers, feta cheese, and a blueberry balsamic. Healthy and adorable!

These “Firecracker” Ice Pops from Martha Stewart, made with berries and yogurt, are the perfect way to keep you cool and healthy in the heat, without sacrificing taste.
