In the spirit of Halloween, I feel compelled to share my newest facial mask recipe with you. It’s easy to make at home from either an extra pumpkin you might have lying around, or with a can of organic pumpkin puree.

mask of clay on the young beautiful femaleThe properties that make pumpkin so nourishing for the body also benefit the skin. It is rich in zinc, which helps purify and cleanse an oily or acne-prone complexion. The pumpkin enzymes act as a gentle exfoliator that won’t strip skin with harsh irritants.  And, it’s high level of Vitamins A and C promotes new cell regeneration.

This quick mask will nourish and soothe your skin with a blend of oils, and organic honey. Plus, it’ll smell just as delicious as what is in the oven!

GlowingPumpkinFaceMaskFinalIndie Lee’s Glowing Pumpkin Face Mask


4 tbsp. Organic Pumpkin Puree

4 tbsp. Organic Honey

½ tbsp. Greek Yogurt or Avocado Oil

1 drop of Sandalwood Essential Oil

1 drop of Carrot Seed Oil

Dash of Pumpkin Pie Spice (optional)


In a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients until well blended.

Cover the mask, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Apply to face and let sit for 5 – 10 minutes. Then rinse face with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.


The mask should be used on the day of preparation and shouldn’t be stored afterwards.
