DIY Makeup Brush Holder – 2 Ways!
It’s no secret that here at Indie Lee HQ, we LOVE a good DIY! After we saw this fab project by Nordstrom + P.S. I Made This, we knew we had to jazz up our makeup collections with fun new brush holders. Never satisfied to do just one when we can do more, we did a few different options for every kind of DIY aesthetic – we like to mix and match but you can do whatever you like best!
Here is what you need:
- Non-Toxic Colored Chalk
- Black Beans and/or Brown Rice
- Sea Glass and/or River Rocks (we are avid collectors)
- Glass Containers of Your Choice
Once you’ve gathered all your favorite materials, wash and thoroughly dry each glass container. For the salt project, you want to pour out enough salt to cover the bottom of a flat bowl or plate, then roll the colored chalk over it until the color begins to transfer. Keep rolling until you have your desired shade, and repeat with as many colors as you’d like. Layer different colors or mix them all together, this project is all about YOU. For the other materials, simply layer and combine for your chosen look – feel free to have fun with it!
Use these containers to display your lip brushes, blush brushes and eyeliner brushes, or for any creative organization you need – send us your finished looks on Facebook and Twitter, we’d love to see them!
