Received an expired product?

"I ordered a bottle back in March 2026 to use after I finished my existing stash. I've purchased this before with no issues, so when I used my new bottle, I was shocked at the chemical scent and stopped using it immediately thinking the I received an expired product. To my surprise, I come to the site to see other reviews saying they experienced the same odor issue. I imagine the formula changed happened recently, as the travel-sized versions I purchased at the same time as the full-sized one smelled perfectly normal. If this is indeed not normal, I'd love a replacement bottle. If it is, then I hesitate to purchase one again."

Is it normal for my skin to feel somewhat tacky after using this? I feel like I need to rinse my face after using.
Hi Sam, thanks for your question. The Aloe, Coenzyme Q10, and Hyaluronic Acid in this formula provide hydration and skin softening effects, so depending on your unique, individual skin, the toner may have a slightly "tacky" finish once it dries. (It is not intended to be rinsed off.) Ideally, you would be following it up with moisturizer or an SPF product, so any initial stickiness would not be noticeable once the other products are applied. We are Leaping Bunny Certified and do not purchase from suppliers who are unable to prove they are cruelty-free as well. The Coenzyme Q10 we use can be derived from yeast or bacteria fermentation. hello, i just bought the coq10 toner and i was wondering if there is anything i should avoid using it with, i use a vitamin c serum with vitamin e and ferulic acid, i use a hyaluronic acid serum and a lactic acid peel, those are items i think could potentially be harmful. Would you please be able to help me out.
There is nothing in your list of products that sounds problematic and I know of customers who use all of those ingredients in the same regimen, but since everyone is different you may want to check with your dermatologist.
Is there any harm to spraying it directly on your face instead of using a cotton pad? What would the difference be? I just don't want to waste pads.

The only difference between using a cotton pad and spraying directly on your face (without swiping with a cotton pad) is that you will not benefit from removing excess dirt, sweat, sunscreen, etc. with the cotton pad. If you do not want to waste cotton pads, you can buy reusable, washable pads. I hope this helps.
