Take a moment to go through your products and check the expiration dates. Skincare products have a PAO (Period After Opening) date, which tells you how long a product is good for once it's been opened. It's important to stay on top of this to ensure your skincare is effective and safe.

Here's a quick guide to common product lifespans after opening:

- Mascara: 3 months

- Liquid eyeliner: 3-6 months

- Cleansers: 1 year

- Moisturizers / Serums: 6-12 months

- Powder products: 2 years

Indie Tip:: I like to write the date I open a product on the bottom of the packaging with a sharpie. This helps me keep track of how long I've been using it, so I don't end up holding on to anything past its prime.
