Hi! I'm Indie Lee! Thanks for asking : ) After being diagnosed with a brain tumor and given six months to live in 2009 (happy ending - brain tumor was successfully removed and I'm still here!), it has been my mission to educate and empower others to make informed, healthy life choices and to create a line of clean products that are as effective as they are safe. I started making products in my kitchen and have embraced the journey from the start through the present. I am so inspired by you, the people who join me on this journey. To us, clean beauty means products that are mindfully and honestly created, produced and offered without the use of any ingredients that are proven or suspected of causing harm. When in doubt, formulate out. In addition, those products should be made from ethically sourced ingredients with the health of the user and the preservation of the environment in mind.

Our products are grounded in nature, supported by science and inspired by life. We believe the products you choose should be effective, enjoyable, healthy and from a company you believe in. When you purchase an Indie Lee product, you can trust that every ingredient in the formula has been ethically-sourced and is disclosed for your knowledge and empowerment. Every product has a purpose and has been rigorously tested for efficacy.

We are committed to nontoxic and eco-friendly practices. Indie Lee is a member of the Leaping Bunny Program and uses FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper for all outer packaging.

We are also in the process of having all our products COSMOS certified (shop COSMOS products here). COSMOS is one of the leading third-party global certification processes regulated by leaders in biodiversity safety and sustainability. We believe that COSMOS was the right global certification to seek since there is little regulation in the US personal care industry. It is an ever-changing certification, meaning we will continuously hold ourselves accountable to the highest standard.

Who doesn't love samples!? We offer two free samples with all website orders. Sample options can be viewed by going to your Cart and clicking or tapping "Select 2 Free Samples." Once you've made your selections, click or tap "Add Samples to Cart" to add them to your order.

Yes, we do! Gift Cards can be found here and are available in denominations of $25, $50, $75, $100, and $250.

Gift cards are sent to the email address used at checkout immediately after purchase. For gifting, you can print the email or forward it to the recipient.

Please note that our gift cards are digital. No physical gift card is mailed.

For optimal freshness, store products at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. While keeping products in the refrigerator can make application feel quite refreshing (try this with CoQ-10 Toner in the summer!), it will not make them last longer. And remember, for products formulated with naturally-derived ingredients, color variations and ingredient separation is natural!

Since every pregnancy is different, we always recommend discussing your product selections with your physician.

Certain ingredients are flagged for caution during pregnancy, including retinoids and acne-fighters (such as benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid). While the majority of our products are free of these flagged ingredients, wintergreen-derived salicylic acid is present in our Banish Solution, Banish Stick, Clearing Mask, Gentle Daily Peel, I-Waken Resurfacing Mask, and Overnight Banish Gel.

Our Mineral Sunscreen is a body sunscreen that offers 40 minutes of water- and sweat-resistant SPF 30 protection. It's ideal for beach days, hikes, and outdoor sports.

Our Daily SPF Primer is a serum-like, multi-purpose face product that provides SPF 50 protection, a radiant finish, and just a "hint" of tint. It can serve as stand-alone SPF, a makeup primer, or a sheer coverage foundation.

Both products use uncoated (non-nanoparticle) Zinc as the active ingredient and are formulated WITHOUT chemical sunscreens known to be harmful to coral reefs.

Of course, Indie always recommends walking on the shady side of the street and wearing a big hat and fabulous sunglasses as part of her sun protection ritual. 😎

First and foremost, make sure all empties are properly cleaned before recycling! Uncleaned empties are not recyclable, cause delays in sorting, and ultimately end up in the trash. If you're not sure how to clean your empties, our Empties Cleaning Guide provides some helpful tips.

Once your empties are clean and dry, find a beauty product recycling drop-off location near you on our Stockists page by clicking the 'Recycling Drop Off Location' tag under the map search field. You can also mail any clean, hard-to-recycle packaging directly to Pact Collective.

Unfortunately, products do get discontinued from time to time. We know it can be frustrating! If you're unable to find a product using the keyword search fuction on the website, feel free to check the Discontinued page to see if your product has been sunsetted.

You may be able to find discontinued products at retail partners. Search our Stockist directory to find approved stores near you.

We discourage purchasing Indie Lee products from unauthorized resellers or reselling sites (such as eBay), as products could be expired, damaged, used or even counterfeit. Please Contact Us to report any suspicious selling activity.

Remove any spaces, quotes, periods or asterisks, as these are not part of the code.
Log in to your Indie Lee Account before proceeding to checkout. Some of our gift card codes and discount codes are linked to a specific email address and will not work unless you're logged in.
Make sure the discount code is still valid. Expiration dates are usually noted at the bottom of our emails, but some promotion timeframes are not publicized. Indie Lee reserves the right to end promotions for any reason without notice.

Return Policy

We accept returns for any reason within 30 days of purchase. Icon Rewards Members enjoy an extended return window of 60 days.
Return shipping costs are covered by the customer.
Subscriptions, gift cards, limited editions, and products purchased with a 40% or more discount are considered final sale and non-returnable.
Shipping charges on the original order are non-refundable and will be excluded from your refund or credit amount.

If you have placed an order with us in the past, you're automatically enrolled in our Rewards Program and earning points! To access your points, register for an account using the same email address you used when placing your order.

If you have already created an account on indielee.com, simply log in to see your status and points balance.

Rewards points can be redeemed for free products or for money off at checkout.

To redeem points for free products, log into your Indie Lee Account, go to the Rewards page, and scroll down to the 'Redeem Points for Products' section. Click the 'Redeem Now' button under the product you'd like, and add it to your cart. (Please note that you must have at least one paid product in your cart in order to redeem the Points for Products reward.)

To redeem points for money off, select a reward from the 'Choose Reward' dropdown menu at checkout and click 'Apply.' On a desktop device, this menu will be on the right side of your screen, below the order summary. On mobile devices, you may need to tap 'Show Order Summary' to see the Rewards dropdown menu. You can change the details of your Subscriptions at any time by logging into your Indie Lee Account. From the "Manage Subscriptions" button, you can skip a shipment, adjust your shipping frequency, add or remove products, add a new payment method, or cancel your subscriptions. (To apply a new payment method to an active subscription or change the email address associated with your account, please contact us for assistance.)

Simply shop online and add items to your shopping bag and checkout as normal. At the checkout choose Installments with Afterpay as your payment method. First-time customers will need to register with Afterpay and provide payment details, as usual, returning customers simply log in to make their purchase. It’s that easy!

If you have changed your mind, you can return your Afterpay purchase for a refund. Please check that your items meet our Return Policy. Afterpay will be notified of your return and will process the appropriate refunds. Please do not return your purchase to Afterpay.

If you believe there is fault or concern with your Afterpay payment, please contact Afterpay customer support at info@afterpay.com.

Afterpay will be notified once your refund is processed. Your payment plan will be automatically adjusted to reflect the new total order value starting with the last payment and working backward. Note that the length of payments will never go beyond six weeks after the purchase date. In the case where a refund amount is larger than 25% of the total order, Afterpay will eliminate the fourth instalment payment and charge the remaining amount to your third payment.
