Turning 53 and Living a Life of "Wellth"
This October (the 17th), I’m turning 53. It’s a birthday that feels deeply significant—not because of the number, but because of everything I’ve been through this past year. In June, I underwent two brain surgeries, a challenge that tested my strength and my faith in ways I hadn’t anticipated. But as I reflect on my journey to recovery, I’ve come to realize that this moment in my life is about much more than just healing—it’s about embracing longevity and creating a life of wellth.
Rediscovering My Strength
Major surgeries like what I went through can take a toll on your body, your mind, and your spirit. In those early days of recovery, I was humbly reminded that healing is not linear, setbacks happen and healing can be a roller-coaster. But one of the most beautiful lessons I’ve learned through this experience is how resilient the human body truly is.
I’ve always believed in the power of clean living, nourishing our bodies from the inside out, and creating an environment that supports wellness. After surgery, I leaned into those beliefs more than ever before. It wasn’t just about recovery; it was about rebuilding my health in a way that would sustain me for the long term.
Longevity: More Than Just Living Longer
We often think of longevity as living to a ripe old age, but for me, it’s about so much more than adding years to my life. It’s about living well in those years—filling my days with energy, purpose, and vitality. I want to be able to thrive, not just survive.
Turning 53 is my reminder to focus on how I live each day, and to ensure that my future is filled with wellness, not just time. This philosophy of longevity is what I’m pouring into my life now, from the food I eat, to the way I move, to the community I nurture around me.
A Life of Wellth
At this stage of my life, I’ve come to redefine what wealth truly means. It’s not about material abundance but an abundance of health and wellness—what I like to call "wellth." A life of wellth means prioritizing self-care, making choices that nourish my body and mind, and finding balance in a world that often feels chaotic.
Building wellth for me involves conscious living—clean eating, mindful movement, quality sleep, and surrounding myself with people and practices that lift me up. These are the foundations of the life I’m creating as I step into this new chapter.
What’s Next: Wellness, Growth, and Purpose
As I embrace my 53rd year, I’m more committed than ever to the work I do in the wellness space. My goal is to share what I’ve learned about healing, longevity, and creating a life of wellth with others. We all deserve to feel our best, regardless of our age or circumstances. That’s why I’m continuing to lean into autoimmune advocacy, clean living, and wellness education—not just for me, but for my community.
I’m excited to bring you along on this journey of rediscovery, growth, and vibrant health. It’s about showing that no matter what challenges we face—whether it’s surgery, illness, or aging—we have the power to reclaim our well-being and live a life that’s full of vitality and joy.
Here’s to turning 53 with grace, gratitude, and a whole lot of wellth!
