A Note to All Moms
For this Mother’s Day, and every day
To All Moms,
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, I can’t help but reflect on what motherhood has meant to me as both a mom and the founder of a clean living brand. For me, the day is set aside to acknowledge and show appreciation to those in your life who have played a maternal role in some way. Moms comprise a huge part of our community - from new mommies to mother figures - and I know that choosing clean products for your family’s health is only a fraction of what you do. My kids, Jacob, Emily, and my goddaughter, Sumaya, have always been my greatest gifts and the driving forces behind everything I want to accomplish. As mothers, we work hard, make sacrifices, support, provide, encourage - the list goes on. But we do it all with the ultimate hope of empowering our children to become the best versions of themselves they can possibly be.
With that said, I wanted to take this month to really celebrate each and every one of you by putting together a campaign filled with content and resources for your individual motherhood journeys. Here’s a glimpse at what you can look forward to seeing:
- Where to start your clean living journey, especially as a busy mom (hint: start with small changes and don't beat yourself up)
- How to create and maintain a wellness ritual, with tips from female clean living brand founders
- What to expect and things to remember as a first-time mother
Lastly, I wanted to acknowledge and gently remind all moms that the greatest responsibility you have is to yourself. With social media and societal norms putting self-imposed pressure to feel perfect at every moment, remember that we are perfectly imperfect just the way we are. Everyone’s motherhood journey is their own. Personally, I embrace the 80/20 rule with life; after all, this is not a dress rehearsal, and I want to enjoy everything this world has to offer.
Wishing you a very Happy Mother’s Day.
Xx, Indie
P.S. I am fully expecting my pups to shower me with affection on May 12th. After all, dog moms are moms, too!
