Coenzyme Q10

Coenzyme Q10

Coenzyme Q or vitamin Q10, is often abbreviated as CoQ10 or CoQ-10. This substance is ubiquitous in the human body, which is how it got its other name, ubiquinone, but diminishes as we age and from stress. Coenzyme Q10 was first discovered by American scientist, Professor Frederick Crane in 1957, at the University of Wisconsin in a beef heart. CoQ10 is a natural vitamin-like compound critical for cellular energy production - including collagen and elastin. Topical CoQ-10 can also be derived from Yeast fermentation (no worries it is gluten free) or bacteria fermentation.

Stories & Legends

In clinical tests, the topical application of CoQ-10 counteracted some of the environmental stress-induced and age related CoQ-10 deficits that lead to duller, older looking skin.
